Transcriptome studies have found that sweet potato activates many specific genes when fighting Fusarium oxysporum. These genes include CERK (a receptor kinase that senses the pathogen), MAPK (a gene involved in signaling), and some transcription factors such as WRKY and NAC. In addition, some genome-wide analysis studies have also found SNP markers related to Fusarium mycorrhizal rot resistance. These markers can be used to
