Understanding their relationship will help us breed sweet potatoes that can resist these two types of stress at the same time. In the future, researchers can add more genetic variation resources to breeding. For example, using auxiliary gene migration and other methods to introduce the sweet potato gene with resistant genes, which can further enhance its adaptability to diseases and environmental changes.
